Brian Morgan, a senior forward who played at Maine, will be joining Mike Cavanaugh and the UConn Huskies for his final season. Morgan, originally from Windham, New Hampshire, is eligible immediately as a graduate transfer after completing his bachelor's degree a year early.
Morgan played in 36 games for the Black Bears last season, scoring six goals while adding an assist for a total of seven points. He will add some much-needed experience to what will be a very young #Icebus team in the 2016-'17 season. Cavanaugh's Huskies will return three of their top four scorers from last season and five out of their top seven. With the recent picks of Tage Thompson and Joe Masonius in this past NHL Draft, the roster will have six NHL draftees. It should be a very successful season for UConn in what will be Cavanaugh's fourth year at the helm.
Joona Kunnas, Rob Nichols, Ryan Segalla and Evan Richardson will round out the senior class along with Morgan.
