NCAA Tournament Preview: UConn Baseball vs. Georgia Tech | 12 p.m., ESPN3

The Huskies have their backs against the wall and now needs to win the next three games to advance.

After a hard-fought loss to Florida last night, the UConn Huskies face an elimination game with a short turnaround time and potentially a second game today if they can win.

First pitch against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets is at 12 p.m. In order to advance to its first Super Regional since 2011, UConn must win this game, beat Florida at 6 p.m. tonight and then beat the Gators again at 6 p.m. on Monday.

Georgia Tech also is facing elimination after a 7-6 loss to the Huskies on Friday. The Yellow Jackets won their first elimination game on Saturday over Bethune-Cookman, 12-3, in a game that was close until a six-run ninth.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN3 and those who cannot watch the game can follow @ShawnMMcGrath for live updates on Twitter.

Mid 2: After their first two errors of the postseason last night, UConn has rebounded with two great defensive plays, including this outfield assist by Joe DeRoche-Duffin.

End 3: Georgia Tech starter Ben Parr is perfect through three innings. The game is tied at 0-0.

Mid 4: Georgia Tech scores five runs on five hits. 5-0 Yellow Jackets.

End 4: UConn gets a run back on a Daniello single that the Georgia Tech center fielder couldn't quite get to. 5-1 Georgia Tech.

End 5: Huskies keep chipping away, bringing home another run on a balk, but the Yellow Jackets could have had it much worse. Ben Parr looked absolutely spent but was able to complete the inning without disaster. 5-2 Georgia Tech.

End 6: UConn pushes two runs across while ESPN3 has technical difficulties. It is radio-only from here on out at The UConn Blog Baseball HQ. 5-4 game.

Mid 9: UConn is down 2. Aaron Hill, Jack Sundberg and Willy Yahn are up to save the Huskies' season. 7-5 Yellow Jackets.

End 9: That closes the book on the Huskies' season. It was a great ride. 7-5 final.
