Geno Auriemma believed Breanna Stewart would make an immediate impact in the WNBA, and so far it seems he was right on.

After being drafted first overall on April 14 in the WNBA Draft, Stewart made her professional debut one month later on May 15. By the end of the month, she had already separated herself as one of the league's better players, currently sitting ninth in the league in points per game, fifth in rebounds per game and fifth in blocks per game.

Stewart was rewarded for her excellence with Rookie of the Month honors for May. Playing in five games, she started all five and averaged 17.4 points per game to go along with 8.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. On the defensive side of the ball, Steward had 2.0 blocks and 1.6 steals per game.

Stewie hit a high of 25 points, on May 26 against Washington and had a high of 13 rebounds, doing it twice. Her high of blocks and steals is four of each, also doing that May 26 against Washington.
