VIDEO: Former Husky Morgan Tuck Outshines Breanna Stewart In Stewie's Return To CT

Last night's Connecticut Sun game was of particular interest as Breanna Stewart's Seattle Storm visited Mohegan Sun Arena in the former UConn star's first trip to Connecticut as a professional. However, it was a different former UConn Husky, Stewart's former partner-in-crime Morgan Tuck, who stole the show.

Maybe it helped that Geno Auriemma was in the crowd, maybe it was seeing her "sister" Stewart return to the arena where they won three American Athletic Conference tournament titles together. Whatever the reason, Tuck had her finest game as a professional as she led the Sun with 20 points in a 77-76 win.

Tuck had come into the game averaging 5.8 points in 16 minutes per game. She made the most of her 20 minutes last night as she was 8-of-10 from the floor, including a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.

Stewart finished the game with a double-double, 10 points and 12 rebounds, but it didn't come easy. She went 4-of-14 from the floor, going 0-of-5 on three-point attempts.

For Stewart, it was the first time she had played in front of her parents as a professional. But she said after the game it wasn't the pressure of coming back to play in Connecticut or anything else for that matter. It was just the fact that she missed shots. Her head coach, Jenny Boucek, said that the Sun played great defense on Stewart and may have made her take some shots she wasn't comfortable with.

There were three other former Huskies who played in the game, with each posting a solid outing.

Seattle's Sue Bird led all scorers in the game with 24 points. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis came off the Storm bench to score 7 points. Kelly Faris continues to see more time for the Sun and, as usual, brought some defensive intensity for Curt Miller's squad.

The next time that Stewie returns to the state, she'll actually be wearing a different uniform. Team USA will host current Husky Kia Nurse and Team Canada at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT on July 29.
