After UConn put Memphis in the loser's bracket with a 6-2 win on Tuesday, the Tigers came back with two wins in a row, eliminating East Carolina and USF from the tournament.

On Thursday night, UConn clinched its semifinal berth with a 9-1 win over USF. Tim Cate threw 7.1 innings of one-run ball and Bryan Daniello went 3-4 with four RBI, leading the offensive charge.
If UConn loses the first game, then Memphis and UConn will play again right after.
