With UConn's win yesterday over Memphis, their 10th in a row, the Huskies are in the winner's bracket. Whoever wins tonight's matchup between the USF Bulls and the Huskies will get Friday off in preparation for Saturday's semifinal while the loser will have to play Memphis at 3 p.m.

UConn and USF had their weekend series on the last weekend of the regular season and it went just about as well as it could have, with the Huskies sweeping the series. Friday was an 11-2 victory, Saturday saw them clinch the series with a 7-3 win and the sweep came Sunday with a 3-2 win.
Tim Cate, the freshman left-hander, is the Huskies' probable starter. He started the Saturday game against USF in what was one of his best starts. He scattered one run on five hits across 6.2 innings, with eight strikeouts to zero walks.
