UConn and Ohio State signed a home-and-home agreement two summers ago, with the first game taking place in 2015. In that game, on December 12, 2015, UConn emerged victorious at home, 75-55, after up being 21 at the half. The Huskies shot 60.4% from the field in that game and Rodney Purvis scored 13 points.

The return game of that home-and-home will be played this season on December 10. A time has not been announced but we do know the game will be televised on CBS.

After the win last season, UConn is 3-3 against Ohio State all-time, including wins in the 1988 NIT Final and the 1999 Final Four, a Final Four which the Buckeyes later vacated over an improper benefits scandal.

In addition to the Buckeyes, the Huskies have a non-conference schedule with multiple old conference foes, including a showdown with Syracuse at Madison Square Garden on December 5. UConn will head to Georgetown for a return game of their home-and-home January 21, 2017, looking to beat the Hoyas again after the electric performance at XL Center last season.

UConn will also be taking part in the 2016 Maui Invitational, spending Thanksgiving week in Hawaii with the likes of Georgetown, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, in addition to Division II host Chaminade. UConn is 8-1 all-time in the tournament, winning it in 2010 to start the season which ended with its third National Championship. The Huskies will play three games in Hawaii.
