Breanna Stewart and Moriah Jefferson will play their final games at Gampel Pavilion for the UConn Huskies women's basketball team. It remains to be seen whether or not the same is true for Morgan Tuck.
Stewart, Jefferson and Tuck are a remarkable 34-1 at Gampel Pavilion in their four-year careers with tonight's game against the Duquesne Dukes as the last one in Gampel for two of them, and maybe three. The one loss came on January 5, 2013 to Notre Dame, 73-72. The trio would avenge that loss though in the semifinals of the 2013 NCAA Tournament, which they would go on to win.
Gampel Pavilion also served as the practice facility for the UConn women's basketball team before the Werth Family Champions Center opened in their junior years. Stewie, Mo, and Tuck put a lot of work in in that building.
If you're a UConn student and not attending the game, go get some tickets for you and your friends. Fill Gampel up and send the seniors off the right way! Dynasties like this don't last forever, anyone should jump on this opportunity to catch greatness!
