The UConn Huskies (16-6, 6-3 American) take on lowly East Carolina (10-12) at noon. Well, East Carolina appeared to be lowly before putting on three straight solid performances leading up to this game.
The Pirates beat Memphis on the road and Temple at home before taking a solid Houston team to two overtimes. Before that, ECU had lost to UCF twice, which is deplorable.
The Huskies come into the game having won two straight and five of their last six. Amida Brimah returned to the lineup one week ago in the game against UCF, and played in the win over Memphis as well. The 7-footer will be in the starting lineup today for the first time since December 12 against Ohio State. Freshman point guard Jalen Adams is in the starting lineup along with the usual suspects Daniel Hamilton, Shonn Miller and Sterling Gibbs.
