The No. 1 UConn Huskies women's basketball team heads to the City of Brotherly Love and the land where head coach Geno Auriemma grew up to take on the Temple Owls at McGonigle Hall in Philadelphia, PA at 12 PM.

Pam Ward and Carolyn Peck will have the call on ESPN2. If you can't watch, you can catch Bob Joyce and Debbie Fiske on the UConn IMG Sports Radio Network.

The Huskies are 6-2 lifetime against Temple with the two losses coming before the Geno Auriemma era (1981, 1982). All six wins have come with former UConn assistant coach Tonya Cardoza as the head coach of the Owls.

UConn (23-0, 12-0), winners of 60 straight games, holds a two game advantage over the second place Owls (17-7, 11-2) in the American Athletic Conference standings. The Huskies handed Temple one of their two conference losses this season when they beat the Owls 104-49 earlier this season at Gampel Pavilion.

Senior Moriah Jefferson heads into the game just six assists (539) behind Sue Bird (545) for fourth place overall in UConn history.

Jefferson (1,363 points) also needs two points to pass Charde Houston (1,365 points) for 31st overall in UConn history. If Moriah can get 16 points today, she would move past Sue Bird (1,378) as well.

The UConn women will next return to the court on Wednesday night when they'll host former Husky player and assistant coach Jamelle Elliott and her Cincinnati Bearcats at Gampel Pavilion.
