After a two week absence from the coaches’ poll, the UConn men’s soccer team (8-3-0, 2-0-0 AAC) is back in the received votes category. The Huskies took home 13 points in the poll, putting them seventh in the received votes category.

UConn accomplished this by winning five matches in a row, including two road wins last week, one against Providence and one against conference foe Tulsa. Both came by a scoreline of 1-0.

The Huskies only have one more opponent who received votes in this week’s poll. Boston College got nine points this week and will come to Morrone Stadium on October 18.

UConn’s only match this week is on Saturday night, when Cincinnati comes to Storrs for a American Athletic Conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

The women’s squad held their spot at No. 21 in the nation after notching two wins. UConn played their first two American Athletic Conference games last week, getting a 4-2 victory over Tulsa to start conference play. The Huskies also matched their male counterparts to get their fifth consecutive win, beating Memphis 4-1 on Sunday.

As with the men, the women only have one remaining opponent that got votes in this week’s poll. South Florida fell to No. 23 from No. 15 after a 1-1-0 week, losing to SMU for their first defeat of the year. The Bulls and Huskies will do battle on October 16 at Morrone Stadium.

UConn women’s soccer will be in Texas for both of their matches this week. The Huskies play SMU in Dallas on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. and Houston on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
