A 5-2 loss against Quinnipiac put the Huskies at 2-1-2 through their first five games. UConn looks to get back on the winning track tonight against American International College, a former Atlantic Hockey foe.

First period:
1:43: Evan Richardson off for boarding. It’s the first power play for either side of the night.
9:14- Evan Richardson takes a shot from the high slot that gets through a screen. Goal on the power play for a 1-0 UConn lead.
18:49- AIC gets a goal on a wrist shot from the top of the right face-off circle. The Yellow Jackets have tied it at one.
19:19- But #icebus gets it back! Richardson dished it to Karl El-Mir on the doorstep who converted the one-timer. 2-1 game.
20:00- end of the first, UConn holds the lead.
Second Period:
3:04- Ojantakanen gets the gate for interference off the draw. Huskies hold a 2-1 lead.
15:08- AIC ties it up on the rush. Shawn McBride gets the unassisted goal that deflected off of a Husky.
20:00- end of the period.
Third Period:
1:12- AIC penalty. Zackarias Skog, the goaltender, tagged with hooking.
4:05- UConn back with the man advantage. Martin Mellberg called for hitting from behind. Still a tie game
5:52- 13 seconds of five-on-three time. Andrew DeBrincat off for hooking.
8:43- Blake Christiansen off for hitting from behind. Still no goals for UConn this period.
15:33- UConn up 10-to-2 in shots so far in the period and it is still a tie game.
16:26- this is the Huskies’ moment. They took their timeout before their fifth power play of the period. Still a tie game.
20:00- overtime in Hartford.

5:00- No goals. Game ends in a draw.
