The American Athletic Conference opened the 2015 football season on a high note. Nine of the conference's 12 teams won their opening game, highlighted by Temple's 27-10 win over Penn State in Philadelphia.

Hairston did not have a heavy workload in the Pirates' backfield against Towson, compiling only 154 yards, but he did score all four of East Carolina's touchdowns in a 28-20 win over the Tigers Saturday night.. Add in 19 yards on five catches, making Hairston the week's top performer with 46.3 fantasy points.
