While UConn was picked to win its first two games of the season by Football Study Hall's F+/ rating projections, they are not so kind this week, as the Huskies are projected to lose by 28.7 points. If that held true, UConn wouldn't even cover the spread.
I'm skeptical of this rating, because I'm not sure if Missouri will score 28 points total. Those projections still take last year's data into account, so hopefully we see a better UConn team on the field against Missouri than the computers will expect.

In more sunny news, in case you've been living under a rock (or don't check this site and/or Twitter every day), the Huskies earned a big verbal commitment from in-state quarterback Jay Rose. Rose had offers from all over the country; his commitment is a huge win for Bob Diaco and his staff as they seek to turn this program around.
Rose spoke with #UConn coach Bob Diaco before press conference: "It was tough to understand him, because he was yelling..." #cthsfb

How to Watch (or listen!)
TV: ESPN 12pm (Adam Amin, Kelly Stouffer, Olivia Harlan)
Radio: WTIC 1080AM | 91.7 WHUS | www.whus.org
Series: This is the first meeting between these two programs. UConn will host Missouri at Pratt & Whitney Stadium on September 23, 2017
UConn Against Ranked Teams: The Huskies have beaten two ranked teams in their FBS history: November 24, 2012, over No. 19 Louisville, 23-20 and October 27, 2007, over No. 11 USF (No, that is not a typo. South Florida was once a highly-ranked college football team).
College Football Schedule
But first what to watch:
Florida State at Boston College, 8pm Friday, ESPN - The only time in the world where it is acceptable to root for the #Noles.
USF at Maryland, 12pm, ESPNU - This game became slightly more interesting than before after Maryland got blown out at home against Bowling Green. Could USF pull off an upset and put former UConn head coach Randy Edsall on an even hotter seat?
Temple at UMass, 3pm, ESPN3 - Temple, who is looking like a power player in the American, should blow the doors off of UMass. We get a look at UConn's final opponent of the season in the Owls and a future opponent for 2016 and 2017 in the Minutemen.
Memphis at Bowling Green, 3pm, ESPN3 - Double shot of #MACtion for the American Athletic Conference! Don't sleep on the MAC, that's what Maryland did last week and they got their pants pulled down.
East Carolina at Navy, 3:30pm, CBS Sports - ECU fought hard against Florida last week, coming up just short of the upset bid. On the plus side we got to see Florida's head coach absolutely lose his marbles. Navy is coming off a bye-week after a comfortable win over Colgate to open the season. Two future opponents for the Huskies in this one, as UConn will host the Midshipmen next week and take on ECU at home at the end of October.
South Carolina at Georgia, 6pm, ESPN - Take a break from watching football that you have a vested interest in, and check out this "ess-ee-see" match-up featuring the No. 8 Bulldogs from Georgia. Athens, Georgia is very high on my college football road trip list (hint, hint, Warde), you'll see why if you check out this game.
Rutgers at Penn State, 8pm, BTN - "The Fail Bowl"
BYU at UCLA, 10:30pm, Fox Sports1 - BYU is a perfect 2/2 on hail mary plays so far this season. The Bruins will need to play a full 60 minutes to win this one.
GO HUSKIES!!
