Amida Brimah is having a monster summer, UConn Football has things they need to work on after scrimmages, and Matt Barnes becomes first Husky to start a MLB since 2005.

Amida Brimah, Eblens outlast Hot 93.7 for Greater Hartford Pro-Am title

"Doug Wiggins hit a game-winning floater with 1.1 seconds left, and fellow UConn stars A.J. Price and Amida Brimah celebrated as their EbLens squad knocked off Hot 93.7, 102-101, to win the Greater Hartford Pro-Am championship on Friday night." Brimah finished with 17 points, also tallying 12 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Featured games for Tip-Off Marathon announced

UConn will be the first game of the Tip-Off Marathon. They are scheduled for Monday, November 16th against the Ohio State Buckeyes. This game will be in Columbus, Ohio and televised on ESPN2.

The scrimmage Saturday at the Rent was less than stellar. UConn needs to work on building a finished product. This means cleaning up silly drops, false starts, and costly interceptions.

"Three former members of the UConn women’s hockey team signed contracts to play in the Elite Women’s Hockey League overseas in Europe. Forward Emily Snodgrass (Eagan, Minn.) will be joining the Bolzano Eagles in Bolzano, Italy, which is   located in the Northeast tip of Italy. Fellow forwards Kayla Campero and Sarah MacDonnell will be playing for the ESC Planegg Penguins in Munich, Germany, which is located in the southeast region of Germany."
