Former UConn nose tackle Shamar Stephen is out for the remainder of the preseason after undergoing knee surgery. Stephen, who was a 7th round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2014 NFL Draft, is expected to be back by Week 1, according to head coach Mike Zimmer. Stephen played at UConn from 2010-2013, and was a team captain in his senior season. He is one of 14 former Huskies in a NFL camp this summer.
