Rising star Wenyen Gabriel recently released his Final Five. The five schools include UConn, Duke, Kentucky, Maryland, and Providence. Gabriel has visited UConn twice and is planning visits to Duke, Kentucky, and Maryland.
"No player during Ollie's tenure compares to Gabriel, so the idea of him playing alongside Daniel Hamilton on the perimeter has to have Husky fans salivating."
"It's like a reunion," Calhoun said before teeing off at his Celebrity Golf Classic on Monday. "I say to Rip [Hamilton], 'I need you to come up.' Why? Because I haven't seen you in six months."
"Jim Calhoun said ESPN would like him to do even more games this season. There has been talk of him doing mostly Big Ten games, as that’s the one major conference he says he doesn’t have a great feel for yet."

"What we’ve done against our peers is as good if not better than anybody else has done in their sport against their peers. I don’t care whether it’s harder in that sport or this sport or that sport. But given the rules that we play with, with all the people we compete against, I’m pretty proud we’ve done it the way we’ve done it for as long as we’ve done it."
"So far Santos has attended camps at UConn and a number of FCS schools across New England. He was invited to a few more, but was unable to attend for various reasons. He credits his successful junior campaign to an off-season spent working on his understanding of the game and making a commitment to being the best he can be. If he can take another leap as a senior, he should improve significantly on his numbers from last year and see more colleges come calling."
"So far, UConn has beaten N.C. State, Illinois, Northwestern, Northern Illinois, Temple, Wyoming, Toledo, Virginia, Vanderbilt, Buffalo, Wake Forest, Army, and Hawaii, among others, for recruits. The class is expected to be small, with only 13 seniors leaving the program, so UConn is actually in pretty good shape with six very strong verbal commitments on the board."
"My best friend joined a football team in my town, and said to me, "You should come, this is great,'" Knappe said. He left with a scout in 2012 to attend some football camps in America, hoping to find a place to play."
"I'm a lot younger than Marquise; he's a great player," Walsh said. "I'm learning a lot from him. It's like learning from the old guy with all the wise tales."
