The Huskies are just on the outside of this week's Associated Press poll.

Four teams will take center stage at Madison Square Garden Tuesday. UConn will be the only unranked among them.

Though the Huskies are on the cusp of the Top 25 once again. Now 5-2, UConn is 26th in voting in the AP Poll for the second week in a row, receiving 82 points in this week's voting.

The Huskies picked up 153 points last week after losing to Syracuse and Gonzaga. That would have put UConn in the poll at 25th this week. Utah is 25th with 108.

Losses by Kentucky and Maryland saw a shakeup at the top of the poll. Michigan State is the new No.1, receiving 62 of the 65 voters' first-place votes. Kansas and North Carolina round out the top three.

Maryland, the Huskies' opponent Tuesday night in the Jimmy V Classic, checks in at No. 6. Virginia and West Virginia will play before UConn and Maryland at Madison Square Garden Tuesday. The Cavaliers are No. 10, while the Mountaineers are No. 14.
