The first American Athletic Conference championship football game will be played today at noon, with No. 22 Temple taking on No. 19 Houston at TDECU Stadium in Houston, Texas. The winner will most likely be representing the non-"power five" conferences in the New Year's Six (fka BCS) bowls.
Across the rest of this day, the championship games for the ACC, Big Ten, SEC and Pac-12 will decide the rest of the New Year's participants as well as which four teams will make the College Football Playoff.
Personally, I'm rooting for chaos today. If Florida can somehow topple 'Bama or UNC upsets Clemson it would throw a huge monkey wrench at the College Football Playoff Committee, and it's always fun to know that those heartless bureaucrats are squirming in their richly upholstered seats.
After this run of games, we will also be one step closer to finding out UConn's bowl destiny, which we will probably get the details for on Sunday or Monday.
Timing and TV schedule is below, enjoy! Also, here's a video of Bob Diaco talking about his hair.
