Bob Diaco had a wonderful Sunday morning.

Four high school seniors announced their commitments to the UConn football program Sunday following visits to campus this weekend. New Jersey lineman Michael Lonsdorf, Florida running back Ja'Kevious Vickers, Florida tight end and linebacker A.J. Garson, and Texas running back Nate Hopkins announced their intentions to join the Huskies via Twitter.

Garson was committed to Bowling Green before Dino Babers left the Falcons to become the new head coach at Syracuse. He can play tight end, but UConn apparently recruited his as a linebacker and defensive lineman. He had offers from Cincinnati, Colgate, Idaho and Oregon State.

Both Garson and Hopkins have two-star ratings on Rivals. Hopkins had offers from Boise State, Navy, Illinois and Army.

All four commits were on campus for official visits this weekend and attended the UConn football awards show Friday night. They got to take in practice as the Huskies prepare for the St. Petersburg Bowl against Marshall Dec. 26. It looks like the mood at practice has been positive. Hopkins got this video of wide receiver Brian Lemelle as he took it all in.

UConn now has 12 recruits for next season. The full list can be found on Rivals' database.
