Second Half
20:00 - Second half under way!
15:54 - U16 time-out, UConn ahead 45-36. Shonn Miller leading all UConn scorers with 13, has shown nice short-range shooting ability and willingness to mix it up.
14:36 - Jalen Adams takes the ball down the court, glides right past the defense and finishes nicely at the rim. Has looked really dynamic in his first action in a Husky uniform.
11:39 - U12 time-out, UConn ahead 52-43. 15 points for Shonn Miller, 8 for Omar Calhoun.
7:02 - U8 time-out, UConn ahead 66-55. Four blocks for Amida Brimah. Shonn Miller has 15 points and 5 rebounds, leading the team in both. Jalen Adams and Daniel Hamilton both have 5 rebounds as well. As one can imagine, Ollie is rotating players quite frequently and using a number of different lineups.
3:37 - Shonn Miller putting on an impressive offensive display, with 18 points on 8-11 shooting.
0:55 - Jalen Adams with a nice teardrop runner preserves the 20-point lead. Ollie sending the walk-ons in after the time-out.
FINAL: UConn wins 88-72.
First Half
20:00 - UConn's season has officially tipped off!
17:35 - We have our first Hamilton-to-Brimah alley-oop of the season! Score tied at 4.
15:20 - U16 time-out, Tampa ahead 11-10. Jalen Adams was the first player off the bench for the Huskies, making his UConn debut. Ollie subbed in Calhoun, Nolan, Facey and Cassell Jr. onto the court with him.
12:19 - Steve Enoch makes his debut as Ollie also puts Miller, Purvis and Gibbs back in the game.
11:56 - U12 time-out, UConn ahead 12-11.
8:00 - Observations: Yes, Shonn Miller will bring a nice element to the offensive attack down low. Jalen Adams is good.
7:22 - U8 time-out, UConn ahead 25-16. Newcomers Shonn Miller and Sterling Gibbs are UConn's leading scorers with 7 and 5, respectively.
END 1st HALF: UConn ahead, 36-30, after getting five points in the last 30 seconds on a Calhoun three and Hamilton lay-up.
Calhoun and Shonn Miller are UConn's leading scorers with 7 points each, Brimah has six, and Sterling Gibbs has five. Jalen Adams has looked like someone who will be a contributor sooner rather than later, and the graduate transfers are looking like they're both going to be impact players.

Kevin Ollie's fourth season as head coach begins today as the Huskies host the University of Tampa Spartans in the first meeting between the two programs.
What we'll be watching for:
- How will the freshmen, Jalen Adams and Steve Enoch, look in their first action as Huskies?
- The transfers are more of a known entity than the freshmen, but how will they mesh with UConn's core?
- It'll be interesting to check out Shonn Miller's offensive chops in the post and how Sterling Gibbs looks running the offense.
- How comfortable Rodney Purivs looks out there and if he plays to his strengths.
- Can Amida Brimah show more discipline defensively and be a better rebounder?
- How has Daniel Hamilton improved from the player he was last season?
- What will the experienced players like Kentan Facey, Omar Calhoun, and Sam Cassell Jr. bring to the table?
We'll have live updates here all game. Feel free to share your thoughts or questions in the comments!
