Cincinnati (3-3): L to BYU, 38-24
Cincinnati struggled against BYU's defense, but still managed to score 24 in the first three quarters and held a seven-point lead going into the fourth. Unfortunately the Bearcats allowed 21 points to BYU in the fourth quarter as they fell in Provo.
Cincinnati is going to be a handful for UConn. The Huskies haven't beaten the Bearcats since 2010, but will look to change that as they travel to a renovated Nippert Stadium this Saturday.
ECU (4-3): W over Tulsa, 30-17
East Carolina handily took care of Tulsa in this one. The Pirates led 20-0 at the half and held on to the lead with backups playing late in the game. The Pirates' three leading rushers accounted for 152 yards on 36 carries. They will visit PAWS ARF on Friday, October 30 to face UConn.
Tulane (2-4): L to Houston, 41-7
Tulane is not very good, so for the Green Wave to lose to an undefeated Houston team by a lot is not surprising. UConn travels to New Orleans for their match-up November 7, and will actually be hosting Houston for its next game after a bye week.
Houston quarterback Greg Ward Jr. ran for three touchdowns and added another through the air in the rout of Tulane. The Cougars are now 6-0 and are ranked No. 21 in the AP Poll.
Temple (6-0): W over UCF, 30-16
The Huskies will be in Philadelphia for their season finale against a Temple Owls team currently ranked No. 22 in the AP Poll. After opening the season with wins against Penn State and Cincinnati, Temple has run the table against fairly inferior competition, comfortably beating Charlotte, Tulane, UCF over the past three games. The Owls will have an interesting test this Thursday when they visit East Carolina and another one the following week when they host No. 11 Notre Dame.
