UConn Men's Basketball Ranked 24th in USA Today Coaches Poll

The USA Today Coaches Poll was released and UConn came in 24th, tied with Purdue. Ew.

This is probably a little bit lower than it should be--CBS Sports had UConn 16th--but it's not a big deal.

There was a tie at No. 1 between Kentucky and UNC. The only other UConn opponent to made an appearance on the Top-25 is No. 3 Maryland. Georgetown, Michigan and Ohio State are on UConn's schedule and also received votes.

Syracuse, who we might play in the Battle 4 Atlantis, is not ranked. Texas A&M and Texas are other potential opponents in the field who also received votes. Gonzaga is the only other team in the field ranked, at No. 11.

No other team in the American is in the Top-25. Cincinnati was the only member to receive votes while Tulsa received a single vote point.

Luckily, the championship in this sport is decided on the field of play and the only thing that matters is being No. 1 in the final poll. This UConn team has question marks but a lot of upside. It may not be No. 1, but I think UConn definitely ends this season better than 24th.
