UConn Football has landed another recruit for the Class of 2015, 6-foot-6, 180-pound wide receiver Frank Battle of Belen Jesuit High School in Miami, FL.

Battle is rated the No. 38 player in the very talented Miami-Dade area for the Class of 2015 by the Miami Herald. He is a little under the radar though because Belen Jesuit High School does not pass that much, as they run a Wing-T offense but Coach Richard Stuart says they are going to get him involved way more this season. Battle had an offer from Syracuse, which was reportedly taken off the table, as well as Buffalo and Ohio. Stuart is very happy with the marriage between UConn and Battle, “UConn’s a great spot for him. He’s an outstanding student (4.2 GPA!) and UConn is a great academic school.” And when asked about Bob Diaco, Stuart called the staff “excellent” and “They are definitely going to turn things around there.”

Fans should be very excited about Frank Battle as he has off the charts athletic ability as he is also on the basketball team. He seems like a player you can throw the ball up to and he will go get it with his size. Once he puts on some more weight, he will certainly be a player to watch in a Husky uniform.
