Four weeks into college football season, only a few Ameri-Con games have been played and this week there will be none as all of our conference rivals who are active this weekend will be playing non-conference opponents.
In the interest of checking out some of UConn's future opponents, you may want to watch some of these games:
Noon - Tulane at Rutgers
UConn's next game after hosting Temple will be on the road in New Orleans against the Tulane. The Green Wave are currently 1-3 with losses to Tulsa, Georgia Tech, and Duke. Next time we play at Tulane, I'm going.
6pm - Cincinnati at No. 22 Ohio State
The Bearcats will represent the AAC as they take their act to Columbus to face the vaunted, and highly favored, Ohio State. An upset would knock the Buckeyes out of the Top 25 for the first time since 2011, the year someone named Luke Fickell was coaching the team after the messy end of the Jim Tressel era.
7:30 - Memphis at No. 10 Ole Miss
Memphis surprised people by keeping it close on the road against UCLA. They face a much tougher opponent this weekend in Mississippi but nevertheless the Tigers will be battle-tested as they take on the conference schedule. Memphis will host the Huskies on November 29th at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
