There's no dancing around it, the past three seasons of UConn Football have been abhorrent. Two 5-7 seasons followed by last year's ugly 3-9 campaign left the program in its deepest valley during its short time as an FBS program.

New Head Coach Bob Diaco is a breath of fresh air for a program that showed so much promise during the Randy Edsall era. Though his teams were boring at times, Edsall did a great job taking this program from 1-AA football and a stadium where he shoveled the stands to an eventual Heisman Trophy-winner naming Rentschler Field the loudest place he played in.
