TE Luke Carrezola Tight End
6' 3" 242 lbs. Langhorne, PA 2-star
All-state tight end Luke Carrezola is known as a strong, two-way player, who's long had his sights set on UConn. A three-star recruit according to Scout.com, Carrezola took an official visit as recently as January to meet with the new coaching staff, though he committed nearly eight months before. While leading his no. 6 rated team in Pennsylvania, Carrezola racked up 56 tackles, including 20 for a loss, playing at defensive end. He reeled in just four receptions on offense and one touchdown.
Prior to signing, the P.A. native made an official visit to Penn State and perform at their camp, as he also did at Rutgers. However, Temple was the only other school to offer the hybrid player. outside of UConn. In recent remarks to the UConn Report, Carrezola expressed that he was very excited by the Diaco hire.

Ron Johnson Running Back
5' 11" 212 lbs. Naples, FL, 2-star
A late Louisville decommit, running back Ron Johnson comes to Storrs after refusing new Cardinal headman Bobby Petrino and accepting an immediate offer from fellow first-year head coach Bob Diaco. Johnson's known as a powerful back that is difficult to bring down and boasts a self-described "surprising speed". Over his entire recruitment, the Florida native received interest from Arkansas, Notre Dame, Minnesota, Georgia Tech and Cincinnati. He also was a pretty fluid linebacker if you watch his film.
He finished his senior season with 1,522 yards rushing and a 5.97 yards per carry average for Palmetto Ridge high school. Johnson also racked up 16 touchdowns, but fumbled three times on 255 carries. In the classroom, he wishes to study Business Management.
