UConn vs. RPI Men's Hockey: Live Updates and Open Thread

Live updates from the XL Center as the Huskies take on the RPI Engineers

Pregame

The Huskies are looking to put a very shaky and disappointing outing versus Sacred Heart University at the not-so-neutral Taft School behind them as they begin their three-game home stand at the XL Center. To welcome them home are the Rensselaer Engineers (5-7-0, 4-2-0 ECAC).

RPI are either 2-0-2, 3-0-2, or 3-0-1 against the Huskies depending on which media guide you check – undefeated regardless of actual numbers. The last meeting saw the Engineers ranked 17th in the nation, with the Huskies maintaining a 4-2 lead until the third, eventually losing 6-5 in a barn burner. The Engineers are a team, much like UConn, looking to find their footing, playing well in conference but missing opportunities early in the season to capitalize on easy wins.

The Huskies are up for a tough matchup, but look to bounce back. Expect a tight game from Nichols and a better set offensive attack from the forwards. Live updates to follow.
