TE Jordan Fuchs commits to UConn

New York tight end Jordan Fuchs was UConn's second commitment of the day. He's a two-star recruit according to Rivals, but is an athletic double-threat who has indicated a desire to walk on to UConn's basketball team after his first year. He had received scholarship offers from a bevy of schools, including Florida, SMU, Rutgers, Iowa St. and Kent St.

He played both his basketball and his football at Christ the King in New York and checks in at 6'6 and 200 lbs. He didn't start playing football until his junior year, but proved himself to be a skiled receiver in his last two years of high school, though he'll likely play tight end at UConn. On CtK's basketball team he was a teammate of current UConn freshman Omar Calhoun.
