The Open Thread: UConn at Cincinnati

All the basics going into today's televised matchup against Cincinnati

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Today Tim Boyle makes his second career start and TJ Weist returns to the school he was Wide Receiver coaching last year as a (interim) head coach. Our defense is pretty good and the run game was humming last week. If we are to have any shot at winning this game (it sounds ridiculous even to type) we have GOT to get something going offensively. Despite this game being of little meaning, I’m still pretty excited to see if Boyle can show some improvement against a very stingy Bearcat’s Defense. The game will be on television rather than the standard ESPN3 treatment we have been deservedly getting; hopefully we don’t embarrass ourselves.

PREDICTION

Pain. We’re going to lose, maybe it’ll be close at the half but Cinci will pull away. Their defense is too good and their offense is too competent not to take advantage, 31-13 Cincinnati.
