Big East Football Power Rankings week three

Welcome back to the Big East Football Power Rankings. Every week the editors of SB Nation's Big East blogs will cast their vote in an attempt to measure the current state of the Big East. The results are below.

Welcome back folks to Big East Football, a magical land where nothing ever makes sense. Well, nothing except for the continued placement of Louisville at the top of our power rankings and Pittsburgh at the bottom. Cincinnati looked impressive enough (our South Florida looked weak enough) that the Bearcats were able to jump into the second spot on the strength of their victory over the aforementioned Panthers.

Rutgers held strong at four, meanwhile Syracuse stayed close enough to USC to vault themselves into fifth place (except in the heart of our resident Syracuse blogger Sean who reverse-jinxed them with a seventh place vote -- we're on to you Sean). UConn slipped to sixth on the strength of its magical, invisible offense and Temple held strong in seventh.
