When you think about it, it's nice to have DePaul to kick around. Sure, they do some embarrassing things, like giving up 95 points to Chicago State, but once a year they're a (nearly) automatic win, and a win is something UConn could really use right now. It'd be nice if it was an easy win too, because more than a handful of guys have been looking worse for wear. Andre Drummond, Jeremy Lamb and Roscoe Smith have all either missed or been limited in practice this week, but they've been cleared to go for tonight, and hopefully they'll make it out alive.
On DePaul the player to watch is standout sophomore forward Cleveland Melvin who is averaging 18.1 ppg and 6.8 rpg. After that, well, there isn't much after that.
UConn will also be introducing two new Huskies of Honor tonight, Worthy Patterson and Bill Corley, so be sure to share your best Patterson and Corley stories in the comments.
The game tips at 7 from Gampel Pavilion. SNY and ESPN3 have coverage, and those of us in the Chicagoland area are finally going to be able to watch a game on our tvs thanks to something called The U Too. I'm excited. Let's go Huskies.
