Big East Football Power Rankings Week Nine

Welcome back to the Big East Football Power Rankings. Every week the editors of SB Nation's Big East blogs will cast their vote in an attempt to measure the current state of the Big East. The results are below.

Nine weeks in and it seems like we've finally established something like a real consensus here at the power rankings. We're not totally there, but we did have half the ballots in more or less full agreement, and the divergences from there were small ones.

Rutgers and Louisville, the conference's only remaining undefeated teams divided up the first- and second-place votes, but seeing as Rutgers staged their comeback against an inferior team earlier in their game than Louisville, the Knights were able to grab five of the top-line votes for sole possession of first.

Everyone had Cincinnati and Syracuse as third and fourth respectively, which seems more than fair to me. Temple and Pitt ran neck and neck for fifth place, but the Owls pulled ahead just barely.

Most importantly, we seem to finally have an answer to the eternal debate to decide if UConn or USF is worse, and it is very clearly UConn, who snatched up six of the eight last place ballots. Congratulations Husky coaching staff, you make me so proud.
