As you may have heard, UConn head coach Paul Pasqualoni was formerly employed by Syracuse. That makes tonight a big homecoming -- it's his first time in the Carrier Dome as a visiting coach, and it happens to double as the last time any UConn team will play a Big East game in the Dome.
Saying this has been a frustrating season so far is a comical understatement, but if the Huskies are going to do anything to salvage this year, tonight is the time to start. A loss would leave the Huskies at 3-5 and in a real death spiral. Unfortuately, as bad as Syracuse has been this year I can't see the Huskies pulling out a win. I'd love to see it, if only to watch Syracuse fans melt down after losing their sixth game in a row to the Huskies.
