The NCAA has announced that Jim Calhoun will not get credit for the two wins and one loss the men's basketball team accrued during his suspension. Here is their reasoning:
"This is consistent with the complete removal of the coach from all aspects of game preparation from the time the last game the coach is allowed to be present for ends through the end of the final game of the suspension period."
The move leaves Jim Calhoun's career record at 865-368. This is mostly relevant because of his race for wins with Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim who has 871 for his career. Boeheim's Syracuse team is undefeated right now, so if Calhoun wanted to catch him this year those two wins would have helped a lot.
