The Cardinals (5-5, 3-2) are a win from bowl eligibility. UConn (4-5, 2-2) needs two for bowl eligibility and can wrap up a piece of the league championship if it wins its final three beginning with Saturday's game at Rentschler Field (noon, SNY).

"The way we've been able to organize those days has worked out for us," he said. "This isn't like pro football where you go home and lay on the sofa or go shopping for the day. Tyler Olander had a strong first half and finished with seven rebounds to go with seven points. Alex Oriakhi responded to criticism with nine rebounds and eight points. After a sleepy debut against Columbia, freshman Andre Drummond had five rebounds to go with eight points and three blocked shots in 18 minutes.

UConn will play in Virgin Islands Tournament next season -
The UConn men, like the women’s team, will play in the U.S. Virgin Islands in the Paradise Jam in November 2012, tournament officials confirmed.
