UConn Men: The UConn Men's Soccer Team Suffers Its First Defeat Of The Season - Hartford Courant
Diouf nearly gave UConn the lead in the 17th minute but his header hit off the cross bar after a corner kick driven in from the right side by Max Wasserman. Diouf continued to pressure the West Virginia defense and fired a shot from inside the box in the 27th minute that was denied by a diving save from Holmes at the right post.

Jon Rothstein: 5 Observations From UConn Huskies Basketball; Jim Calhoun's Squad Looks Strong " CBS New York
Drummond may come in with the most sizzle out of all the Huskies freshman but Daniels isn’t far behind. Exceptionally polished for a first-year college player, the 6-foot-8 wing figures to push for a starting spot at small forward next to Shabazz Napier and Jeremy Lamb on the perimeter. A terrific shooter with great range, Daniels eerily resembles Dermarr Johnson when he played at Cincinnati for Bob Huggins in 1999-2000.

Jeff Jacobs: The Trouble With College Sports Starts With BCS -
Having said that, if I were Big East commissioner, I'd be begging Boise State to join today, too, because the road through Idaho is the best one at this time to keep the BCS AQ when the deal expires at the end of the 2013 regular season. Heck, I'd be painting my front lawn as blue as Boise's field. For without the AQ, there is no guaranteed money and without the guaranteed money there is no stability, and without stability, you're screwed.

Journal Inquirer > Archives > Sports > UConn men: Hathaway remains committee chairman
Hathaway has been hired at a "nominal salary," according to a Big East source, and his exact duties are unclear, but the intent of the hire is obviously to maintain his position on the committee, which has been in jeopardy since he was forced into retirement by UConn in August. Hathaway’s retirement was effective on Sept. 15.
