Storrs, Conn. - The University of Connecticut announced two nationally-televised non-conference match-ups Wednesday for the sport of men's basketball in the 2010-11 season.

The Huskies will travel to Austin, Texas on January 8 for a contest against the Longhorns of the University of Texas at 3:30 p.m. eastern on ESPN. UConn and Texas will meet for the second contest of a four-game series that began last season in Storrs with a memorable Husky upset of the top-ranked Longhorns.

UConn and Tennessee begin a home-and-home series with a contest on January 22 at 2:00 p.m. to be televised nationally by CBS. That contest will be a home game for the Huskies in either Storrs or Hartford, but the site is still to be determined. This will be only the second ever meeting between the schools, the first coming in the 2000 NCAA Tournament Second Round, a win by the Volunteers in Birmingham, Ala.

The complete UConn schedule for 2010-11 will be announced in conjunction with the BIG EAST Conference schedule in early September. UConn basketball season tickets are on sale now.
