TheOpenThread: UConn vs. Brittany Griner, I mean Baylor

So, it's the Final Four. Conventional wisdom is that the UConn women won't be winning by 40 points, as they have in the first four games of the NCAA Tournament. Win #77, they say, will be a bit tougher than most of the previous 76.

Don't buy that nonsense. There's way too much talent for any one team to beat UConn. (I think an all-star team of the other 63 NCAA Tournament teams would be a great matchup, though.) Can Baylor beat UConn? Theoretically, yes. But I will continue to believe that the Huskies will never, ever get their comeuppance in a 2007-08 Patriots sort of way, so I say run it up, Geno.

In the event that the game gets out of hand or doesn't interest you, feel free to, I don't know, talk about the Yankees and Red Sox or something. Otherwise, I'll be around during the game to add my comments. Hope you join me.

The UConn-Baylor game will take place at around 9 p.m. (ESPN), or 25 minutes after the other national semifinal between Stanford and Oklahoma, which is going on right now.
