TheOpenThread: South Florida Bulls vs. UConn Huskies

UConn will take the floor tonight for the first time since Monday's loss to Pittsburgh, though the two games couldn't be any more different. The Huskies will be looking to recover from their first loss, but instead of playing a Top-10 opponent in a deafening arena, they'll be taking on a Big East bottom dweller in The XL Center Morgue.

USF has been pretty bad this year. They're not disgraceful (Ken Pom has them at 121), but they are one of two Big East teams that are under .500 and have lost five of their last six games, including contests against Florida Atlantic, Kent St. and James Madison.

This should be an easy win, however I won't be around to see it, as I'll be on a plane back to Chicago. Meacham won't be around either, and since it's New Year's Eve, things will probably be pretty quiet anyway. Still, please do feel free to share some thoughts below so I can get caught up when I land.

As an alternative, be sure to check out Rush the Court, which will be in Hartford tonight for a liveblog as well as pre- and post-game coverage. Don't forget our friends over at Voodoo Five either.

The game tips at 6 p.m. on ESPNU. This is your OpenThread. Go Huskies.
