TheOpenThread: UConn Huskies vs. Pittsburgh Panthers

Well, this is it folks, Big East play is here. It's an understatement to say that UConn has surpassed any and all preseason expectations in their first 10 games. Sure, there were some high quality wins in there, and the Huskies sure did look like they had recovered some of their Maui magic when they shut down Harvard last week, but well, the Big East is the Big East, and that means things are about to go to a whole new level for Kemba Walker and his crew of young pups.

As if starting Big East play wasn't enough, the Huskies have to travel to hated rival Pittsburgh and their fearsome Petersen Events Center to do it. The Panthers have won four of their last five against UConn and are 7-0 all time against top five teams at the Pete, so they won't be scared. Plus, head coach Jaime Dixon kept his team on campus and practicing through Christmas, so they'll definitely be ready to go.

The game tips at 8:30 on ESPN2 or ESPN3. This is your OpenThread. Please join us. Go Huskies.
