TheLiveBlog: UConn vs. Marquette

blog

Not to make too much of an understatement, but tonight is big. UConn is No. 2 in the country, Marquette is No. 8. Marquette features incredibly guard play, UConn has a dominating frontcourt. Marquette is undefeated at home, UConn has yet to lose on the road. By the end of the season, both could make the case for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament and the winner will have control of their own destiny in the race for the Big East Title. Not to mention the fact that if UConn wins, it will be Jim Calhoun's 800th victory as a coach. So yeah, this is big. I would make a final prediction of the score, but to be honest, I have no clue who will win tonight, so instead I'll make the most homer-tastic pick of them all: UConn 77, Marquette 74.
