So I was sitting here thinking of what not-too-time-consuming post I could bang out as the last one of 2008, and I recalled this little diddy I had been saving in my photo files for a rainy day.
I'd say it pretty much sums up the year in UConn sports: moderately successful, cringe-inducing, Colonel Sanders-esque and a bit homoerotic.
I planned on doing a year-end post and handing out some awards, but things happen. Maybe I'll get around to it, but in keeping with our tradition here of promising posts and never coming through with them, probably not.
From all (three) of us at TheUConnBlog, I'd like to say thanks for the support in 2008, and I hope you'll come back for more of that good stuff in 2009. I have no idea how many people actually read this thing, because I don't have access to that stuff, but that's probably for the best; this way I save myself a crushing blow to my ego.
Expect more of the same moderately funny, slightly perplexing posts and poorly-crafted MS Paint pictures in 2009 -- or as Coach Cal will likely say when bragging to reporters about A.J. Price 10 years from now, "Twenty Oh Nawne" -- from all of us. Well, at least from Meacham and myself. Porter will likely maintain his figure-head persona and throw in a homer basketball post every now and then.
