BREAKING NEWS: Gun-slinger Matt Grothe has more fun playing football than gun-slinger Brett Favre.
After twisting his ankle in yet another dismal effort Saturday -- in the fourth quarter, no less -- Matt Grothe is still wearing a boot to protect his injured left foot.
However, Grothe, man of 1,000 interceptions, said he will be ready for Sunday's matchup with the Huskies in the durty south.
Per the St.Pete Times: "My leg's all right, will be all right come Sunday," said Grothe, who will not practice today and might be held out Wednesday as well. "I'm really looking forward to this game Sunday, prime time in the lights, ESPN, against a really good team."
Thank heavens. Without those six interceptions he's thrown in the past week and that goody haircut, the Bulls wouldn't stand a chance.
