Another update on a story that is only worth noting for its pure absurdity. Did Hasheem Thabeet call out Tyler Hansboroug and Luke Harangody on the cover of ESPN the Magazine or didn't he. Hasheem tried to clarify the comments and say he was joking. However, the Courant's Mike Anthony got in touch with the article's author, Elena Bergeron, who said Thabeet wasn't joking:
"Bergeron said Monday, "If someone asks you the toughest players you faced, why would that be construed as a joke?"
And so a story that means nothing continues. Hopefully it will all go away on Friday when UConn starts actual play, though don't be suprised if it comes up again when the Huskies match up with Notre Dame.
