QB situation still up in air; McClain, Baltimore could start at CB

In his weekly Thursday conference call, Randy Edsall called the QB situation a "game-time announcement" even though he said the decision has already been made.

However, he did hint at the fact that both Zach Frazer and Cody Endres have been cleared medically to play this Saturday against West Virginia.

-- When asked about Kevin Duffy's report that Darius Butler will solely play on offense and not defense against West Virginia, Edsall said he had no comment.

"I have no comment on that," he said. "I don't know what you're talking about, but I have no comment on that."

However, he later mentioned that both Robert McClain and Terrence Baltimore have a chance to break into the starting lineup, although it sounds like McClain would get the start if Butler doesn't play defense.

"I'll feel comfortable playing anything we have to play that gives us an advantage and helps us stop the opposing team," Edsall said. "And, you know, Robert might be starting this week. Robert or Terrence Baltimore might be starting this week."
