UConn and technology part three: this site
Thanks to Samsung, I've spent the last two Fridays discussing technology and UConn. For our final installment, I wanted to talk about something close to my heart: this site.
Why technology helps me be a UConn fan 2.0
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Samsung, we're in the middle of a three part series talking about how technology helps UConn fans better connect with their team. Last week I talked about how the combination of the internet and HD programming have helped me see the Huskies in ways that seemed impossible just a few years ago. This week, I want to go past that and talk about being the Huskies -- virtually at least.
Why I'm thankful to be a Husky fan in 2010
This year is shaping up to be one of the worst in the history of UConn sports. The women's basketball team is dominant as always, but after that, things get really thin for the Huskies. But it's not all bad, because at least I get to see the Huskies as they struggle, which wasn't always the case.
Outside of my four years in Storrs, a large percentage of my time has a Husky fan has been spent in either Denver, St. Louis or my current city, Chicago. All three are great cities, but they all suffer from the fatal flaw of not showing nearly enough UConn sports on TV.
