After 12 years on the University of Connecticut men’s basketball coaching staff and 43 years overall as a college basketball coach, George Blaney has announced his retirement.

Boise State has reached home-and-home scheduling agreements with Connecticut. Athletic officials announced deals Wednesday that put Boise State's on the 2014 schedule. The Broncos will travel to the RENT on Sept. 13. The deal brings Connecticut to Boise in the 2018 season

Jeff Adrien was signed by the Bobcats today after the manager waived his own son. This is good news, especially for the players in the D-League who probably got tired of Jeff Adrien playing actual defense--He had over 9 defensive rebounds a game for the Rio Grande Vipers. Charlotte now has three former UConn players on its roster, including Adrien, Kemba Walker, and Ben Gordon.
