On Friday, the UConn women’s basketball team unveiled its full schedule in what will be the first season in the post-Stewart, Jefferson, Tuck era. The non-conference schedule was released back in June, but now the location and dates of conference opponents is known.
In the non-conference schedule, Gampel Pavilion hosts a pair of marquee matchups with Baylor (November 13) and South Carolina (February 13), and Depaul (December 29). In Hartford, the Huskies have a much smaller slate, only facing Chattanooga (November 29) and Ohio State (December 19). UConn will also play Texas in a pseudo-home game at Mohegan Sun Arena on December 4 in the Jimmy V Classic.
On the road, the Huskies open their season against Florida State (November 14), while also traveling to play LSU (November 20), Notre Dame (December 7), Kansas State (December 11), Nebraska (December 21) and Maryland (December 29).
UConn opens up conference play on the road against UCF on New Year’s Day. The only mildly competitive conference game at home will be against USF on January 10. The first conference game on-campus will be on January 22 against Tulane.
Everyone expects UConn to go through the conference schedule with ease, so luckily there's a really exciting break from conference play at Gampel against South Carolina on February 13. The Huskies end the regular season on February 27 in Tampa against USF.
If all goes as planned, they will have seven more games in the state of Connecticut: Three in the American Conference Tournament at Mohegan Sun, two in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament at Gampel, and two at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8.
