Something was amiss on Saturday morning/early afternoon when the media and fans started to arrive at Gampel Pavilion for the UConn women's basketball senior day festivities. There were three placards on the wall that has been covered.

We knew that of the four seniors (Moriah Jefferson, Briana Pulido, Breanna Stewart and Morgan Tuck), Jefferson and Stewart would be going up on the wall based on being WBCA All-American's during their time at UConn.
Rumors began to fly around that it would be Tuck joining her fellow classmates up on the wall. I have to admit that was my initial thought too. The thinking was that maybe head coach Geno Auriemma knew that Tuck would be an All-American this year. That led to even more speculation that she would be leaving school this year instead of next year.
I then thought to myself and threw out the idea of maybe it was for a former player since I knew there would be some on-hand. I quickly erased that thought because there's no way Geno would take away the spotlight from this senior class, one of the most successful ever in Storrs.
Then the theory of maybe it was associate head coach Chris Dailey, who wasn't up on the wall yet as an individual but rather as part of the championship teams that had already been honored. Still though as you walked around before the game, the question still remained.
Who was joining Stewie and Moriah up on the wall?
Well after the senior day ceremony was over and Stewart and Jefferson saw their placards unveiled by Jonathan the Husky mascot, the announcement was made.
Dailey was joining the others from the past along with Stewie and Moriah up on the wall. The look of shock on her face was amazing to see. The normally stoic CD was full of emotion, not only because of her name going up there, but rather the fact that her family was there, including her sister who flew in from London, England.
Geno, the man who can't keep a secret according to CD, had pulled off the greatest surprise much to the shock of everyone.
